Pacific Breeze Winery from New Westminster, B.C. had a remarkable showing in the prestigious San Francisco International Wine Competition, held June 15th & 16th. Their 2005 Syrah was awarded the Double Gold Medal and their 2005 Chardonnay received the Bronze Medal.
The accolades don't stop there. At the Tasters Guild International Wine
Competition this past April in Michigan, the 2005 Syrah received the Gold
Medal and the 2005 Chardonnay, the Silver Medal.
What is surprising is these wines are the inaugural release for Pacific
Breeze Winery which was founded in 2005. "Who would have thought a little
winery from New Westminster would have such a spectacular showing.we are
thrilled. Our goal, when we set out, was to make the best bottle of wine
possible that hopefully people would enjoy, to have received these awards
for our inaugural release tells us we must be doing something right."
Those who know wine recognize the X-factor in these wines - that little
something that makes the difference between a good wine and a great wine.
