Captures Seven Awards Including 1st Place
2010 ‘Winery of the Year’ at InterVin’s Wine Competition

New Westminster’s PACIFIC BREEZE WINERY was awarded ‘Winery of the Year’ at InterVin’s
competition held at White Oaks Resort & Spa, Toronto, Ontario in Sept. 2010. Presented by the founders of Vine Magazines, Canada’s preeminent wine resource guide and the producers of the annual Gourmet Food & Wine Expo, the InterVin International Wine Awards is designed to recognize and celebrate the very best wines available to Canadian consumers.

To find our little “Royal City” winery able to compete at this level and win is a tribute to our entire team! “Placing in so many different categories and winning ‘Winery of the Year’ has been a great achievement for our somewhat hidden winery. PACIFIC BREEZE WINERY placed in seven categories; 2007 Merlot and 2007 Killer Cab were awarded Gold Medals; 2006 Syrah, 2008 Chardonnay, 2006 Acure Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and 2007 GSM all placed Silver and the 2009 Sauvignon Blanc took a Bronze.

“Winning an InterVin silver medal is an incredible accomplishment,” explains Christopher Waters, editor of VINES Magazine and head judge of the InterVin International Wine Awards. “Since only 35 wines from a pool of more than 960 entries struck gold, our silver medalists rank among the top scoring wines in a number of categories, including Chardonnay and Syrah.”
